How-To : Sew on "sew-on" handles

Your purchase includes: Straps, buttons and thread
You will need: Tapestry Needle, Scissors, Measuring tape
Items to note:
Cut the 8' of thread into two 4' pieces (one 4' piece for each strap)
The buttons go on the inside (up/down, does not matter which way they face)
If you mark the holes, be careful as to not mark on the leather
The holes are not an exact line-up, may require some extra hole seeking
2 passes of thread per leg of the X (8' of thread is plenty, but if you use too much and need more you can order additional thread)

Placement of handles is all personal preference! But if you have a pocket or a zipper or other detail inside/outside, take all of that into account. If you plan on lining your bag, do that BEFORE you apply the straps. You want the straps to be attached to both the bag and the liner if applicable, it will give you excellent reinforcement that way also.
